Hello, Pixel Heist

We just added a blog to our site. We’re not sure yet what it’s worth, but we love what we do and we care about the small businesses that shape our community.

A laptop showing a blog page on a desk, with a coffee mug, a cupcake with a single lit candle, and a string of bunting behind it.

We just added this section to our site. Honestly, we’re not sure yet what it’s worth. Maybe it turns out to be useful, maybe it sits quietly in the corner, and maybe it ends up being of interest to somebody out there. Who knows. We figured we’d put it up and find out.

Why we’re doing it anyway

We love what we do. Building a website that works, and then staying around to keep it working, is the kind of job we’d want to be doing whether or not anyone was watching.

We also care about the community we work in, and about the small businesses that shape it. The bakery on the corner, the contractor who answers the phone, the venue that hosts the wedding: these are the places that make a neighborhood feel like one. When their websites work, they get found, and when they get found, they keep the doors open.

What you’ll find here

Plain-language notes on how websites work, what we’re learning along the way, and the occasional look behind a project. No jargon for its own sake, and nothing that needs a developer to translate.

If something here helps you, great. If you have a question, or a topic you’d like us to write about, get in touch. We’d be glad to hear from you.
